Paper, Plastic or Reusable?

Buy A Saturday Market Tote Bag!
Use a Carolina First Saturday Market tote and cooler to save
the environment one bag at a time.

Market totes and coolers can be purchased each week at the City of Greenville booth. Earth Fare will donate 10 cents to a local charity every time you shop with the tote bag in their local grocery store.

Keep in mind:

  • 14 billion plastic bags are used in the US alone.
  • Only 10 to 15 percent of paper bags and 1 to 3 percent of plastic bags are recycled.
  • Tree regrowth cannot keep up with the current logging rate.
  • 70 percent more global warming gasses are released making a paper bag than a plastic bag.
