The Travis Smith Project

Growing up in the small town of Woodruff, S.C., Travis Smith was introduced to music at 3 years old, inspired by the legendary hits of Stevie Wonder and other Motown classics. By the time he reached the age of 6, he had already begun to play piano and started singing at his church. He continued to learn about music throughout his childhood and became a drum major for the Woodruff High School Marching Cadets; winning three trophies of Best Drum Major during high school. He has also won an award for Best Male Vocalist at the L. Water's Talent Show in 2005, and was the opener for Six-time Stellar Award-winner and Grammy Award-nominated gospel recording artist Vashawn Mitchell in 2013. Smith's first album "Childhood" was released in 2009, and his latest release,"Thinking of You" was released 2013. The Travis Smith Project has been featured on Your Carolina and plays throughout the Southeast including gigs at Fall for Greenville, Bele Chere (Ashville, NC) and The Cherry Blossom Festival (Macon, GA).
